LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Valley Water District is warning customers about people who are claiming to be district employees so they can gain access into homes.
According to the district, the people claim they need to inspect for leaks, test the water, or collect payments. While the people claim to work for the district, they are often salespersons from a private company or potential scammers.
All water district employees drive official district vehicles with the blue and yellow logo. In addition, district officials say an employee would never enter a home to collect a water sample or payment.
If you have had someone come to your home regarding your water service, you can call (702)870-4194 during regular business hours.
